About ReliaRide.

Sometimes each of us needs help; sometimes we give help. Everybody relies on friends now and again … and there’s nothing to be ashamed or self-conscious about when needing assistance. It’s only natural.

Beyond the Ride.

20 years of making new, lifelong friends.

Mom needs radiation therapy, your neighbor needs to get prescriptions, and you need an X-ray. That’s why ReliaRide exists. We’re a licensed non-emergency provider of Medicaid transportation AND one of the largest wheelchair ambulette services in Ohio. We’ve become Ohio’s leader because we go beyond — to improve more and more lives every day.

Every day is an opportunity to do good for others. Just like you, your friends at ReliaRide love to make lives easier, people feel better, hope grow greater. We started in 2007 because we saw there was a need for safe, professional, and reliable Nursing Home transportation around Stark County.

We’re known throughout Northeast Ohio for reliable non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). Our people are the best, our vehicles are excellent, our service is impeccable, and our reimbursement success is second to none. We’re a waiver provider through the Area Agency on Aging and — unlike ride-share companies — licensed and regulated to ensure the quality and safety of our vehicles, drivers, and more.

We go beyond the ride and even beyond transportation. Once we started meeting new friends by providing Medicaid transportation, we realized a bigger need existed to positively impact as many lives as possible.

You could call it a calling.

It comes from the heart (which is why we use the heart symbol).

ReliaRide Medical Transportation is a family company and a nonprofit. That means we can concentrate on being the best, most reliable, professional, and friendliest ambulette service provider in Ohio rather than answering to shareholders more interested in profit than grace.

Once they saw that this was a much larger calling, our leaders took it to heart based on their own personal experiences and the resulting passion that has enabled them to relate to ReliaRide’s Medicaid transportation customers.

One of our owners grew up with a brother who suffered from cerebral palsy and remained wheelchair-bound throughout his life. This first-hand experience demonstrated the challenges of providing safe transportation for those in wheelchairs. One of our other leaders has spent time working on the front lines in an Emergency Department. This experience demonstrated the critical component and health decline that can occur when patients are unable to make it to their scheduled appointments.

In addition, many of our staff have connections in the community where they spend their time helping others and giving back. These personal experiences have helped educate and inspire our team to provide the best service for our clients — for whom we are incredibly grateful!

Rely on our people, rely on our vehicles, and rely on our quality.

The heart symbol also stands for the great care all of our drivers take to ensure a safe and compassionate ride every time. Our excellent reputation is based on how we carefully screen every driver and office support team member, while insisting our customers get the best service with minimal wait times.

Our Team

Non Emergency Medical Transportation ReliaRide Our Team of Drivers

Once our team of drivers, call center members, and logistics personnel see that this is a much higher calling, they take it to heart based on their own personal experiences. The resulting passion has enabled them to relate to ReliaRide’s Medicaid transportation customers. Their devotion and care throughout the process – from initial phone consultation to the return of a rider to his or her home – is what makes ReliaRide the leading choice of our customers.

Our Leadership

Non Emergency Medical Transportation ReliaRide Our Leaders

One of our leaders grew up with a brother who suffered from cerebral palsy and remained wheelchair-bound throughout his life. He has first-hand experience with the challenges of providing safe transportation for those in wheelchairs. One of our other leaders spent years working on the front lines in an Emergency Department. She understands the critical care needs our riders require. It's their leadership that drives the grace and compassion of the ReliaRide team!
