What a way to close out an incredible Community Choice Awards season! ReliaRide brought home seven honors from the Stark County Community Choice Awards, including Best Customer Service, Best Non-Profit/Charity Organization, Employer: 101–500 Employees, Best Locally Owned Business, Best Place to Work, Best Boss - Connor Orban, and Best Limo/Transportation Service. But behind every award is something even more meaningful, our people. The laughs, the friendships, the heart, and a team that genuinely cares about the people and communities we serve. To everyone who voted for us, trusted us, cheered us on, and helped us grow, thank you. Nights like this give us a chance to celebrate how far we’ve come together, while reminding us that there are still more lives to touch, more connections to make, and plenty of reasons to keep showing up for one another.

We were incredibly honored to celebrate alongside our community at the Akron Community Choice Awards, where ReliaRide was recognized for Best Customer Service, Best Locally Owned Business, Best Limo/Transportation Service, and Best Boss - Connor Orban. While our name may be on the awards, the recognition belongs to the incredible people behind ReliaRide...the personalities, friendships, dedication, and heart that make what we do possible every day. We are deeply grateful to our team and to the community that continues to believe in our mission, support our growth, and allow us to serve in ways that go far Beyond the Ride.

For our August Serve Day, the ReliaRide team had the incredible opportunity to join Jesus Prom at The Chapel in Green for an unforgettable evening filled with dancing, laughter, friendship, and so much joy. From welcoming guests as they arrived to sharing moments together on the dance floor, our team was grateful to be part of a night where every person was welcomed, celebrated, and encouraged to simply be themselves. Jesus Prom was a beautiful reminder of the power of inclusion, kindness, and genuine connection...and of how special our community becomes when we make room for everyone to shine. We left with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and tremendous gratitude for a very special night Under the Stars He Created.

Our team was all smiles, returning for a second year of back-to-school fun with our friends at Wings of Change Therapy, Inc. during their annual Open House! As a proud transportation partner, it’s always special to connect with the students and families we have the privilege of serving throughout the school year. From sharing helpful resources and exploring our vehicles to plenty of smiles and fun along the way, we loved being part of a day centered around connection, inclusion, and community. Wings of Change is a private school recognized by the Department of Education and Workforce as a nonpublic charter school, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for children with a wide range of learning needs. We’re grateful for another year of partnership and for the opportunity to help their students get where they need to go...safely, reliably, and with a whole lot of heart.

What a special experience it was to participate in the 2026 Hall of Fame Grand Parade for the first time in the nonprofit section, surrounded by organizations that give so much to our community. Our “The Gift Is You” Community Christmas-themed float celebrated a message at the heart of what we do, that each of us has something meaningful to give, and that showing up for one another with kindness, compassion, and service is truly a gift. We were especially honored to receive the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce Award for Best Display of Enthusiasm, making an already memorable day even more meaningful. From connecting with families along the parade route to sharing our mission and celebrating alongside fellow nonprofits, we were reminded of just how much heart there is in our community. We are grateful to have been part of such a beloved tradition and to celebrate the people and organizations who make our community stronger together.

Creating spaces where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included is at the heart of the Nathaniel’s Hope MAKE ’m SMILE Ohio event, and we were proud to participate for the second year. The event brought together individuals with disabilities, their families, organizations, and volunteers for a day filled with laughter, connection, and unforgettable moments. We are grateful to continue supporting an event that celebrates inclusion and the joy of community, and proud to stand alongside partners who are making a lasting difference by fostering acceptance, connection, and belonging for all.

The impact of Sydney Wickham’s life continues to inspire meaningful support for families in need, and we were proud to sponsor the Sydney Wickham Memorial Golf Outing for the third consecutive year. The Sydney Wickham Memorial Fund provides assistive devices and medical equipment not typically covered by insurance, offering families hope and support when they need it most. The outing was a wonderful celebration of generosity, connection, and purpose, bringing together supporters who share a commitment to making a difference. We are grateful to stand alongside the Wickham family and support a fund that carries Sydney’s spirit of caring forward by making a lasting difference in the lives of others.

We are grateful to stand alongside Portage Path Behavioral Health in their mission to make compassionate mental health care accessible to those who need it most. Supporting initiatives that promote hope, healing, and well-being is an important part of our commitment to strengthening the communities we serve, which is why we were proud to support the Portage Path Behavioral Health Links to Mental Health Golf Outing. Bringing together local businesses, community partners, and supporters, the event highlighted the power of collaboration in raising awareness and expanding access to vital mental health services. We are proud to support efforts that create meaningful connections, advance mental health care, and make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout our communities.

We were honored to partner with Crossroads Hospice to help make a special "Gift of the Day" possible by providing transportation for a patient and their loved ones to create a meaningful memory together at Maize Valley’s “Meet in the Meadow” Car Show. It was a privilege to play a small role in a moment that brought comfort, connection, and joy during a time when every memory matters. We are grateful to support organizations like Crossroads Hospice, whose compassion and dedication bring hope and dignity to the families they serve, and are proud to help make these priceless moments possible by going Beyond the Ride.

For our June Serve Day, the ReliaRide team traded in our usual routine for time on the baseball field with our friends at GentleBrook, helping residents hit, field, run the bases, and soak up all the fun that comes with America’s favorite pastime. But this day was about so much more than baseball. It was about cheering each other on, celebrating every swing, sharing plenty of laughs, and creating a space where everyone felt included and encouraged. GentleBrook does an incredible job fostering connection and belonging for the individuals they serve, and spending time together throughout the month gave our team the chance to experience that spirit firsthand. Some of the very best moments happen when nobody is keeping score...just people showing up for one another, sharing joy, and making memories together.

For our May Serve Day, the ReliaRide team had the opportunity to spend time serving alongside Compassion Delivered, an incredible organization providing nutritious meals to individuals and families facing chronic and terminal illnesses throughout Stark County. Serve Day is about so much more than simply showing up, it’s about living out our mission of service Beyond the Ride. What makes days like this so meaningful is watching our team come together with willing hands and compassionate hearts, united by the simple purpose of caring for others. We are incredibly proud of the people who make up the ReliaRide family and the kindness, compassion, and purpose they carry into our communities every day. 

Being named the 2026 Canton Regional Chamber Small Business Celebration Awards Community Champion is a meaningful reflection of the people and partnerships that make our work possible. This recognition celebrates the dedication of our incredible team, the strength of our community partnerships, and the trust of the individuals and families we have the privilege to serve each day. At ReliaRide, our mission is rooted in compassion, dignity, and a commitment to going Beyond the Ride. Every trip is an opportunity to make a difference, whether we’re helping someone reach an important medical appointment, supporting community events, or partnering with organizations that share our passion for serving others. We are grateful for this recognition and remain committed to strengthening our communities through service, connection, and care for many years to come.

For our April Serve Day, the ReliaRide team had the privilege of partnering with Power of Grace for their 9th Annual Blood Drive, held this year in honor of Emme, a courageous 5-year-old battling leukemia. In a room filled with people willing to give a piece of themselves to help someone else, you could feel the hope, love, and strength all around us. Our team showed up with full hearts, rolled up our sleeves, and gave back in one of the most meaningful ways possible. We came. We served. We donated. Days like this remind us that making an impact doesn’t always require something big—it simply requires people willing to show up for one another when it matters most. This is the heart behind our Serve Days and a beautiful reminder of what “Beyond the Ride” truly means. 

We had a wonderful time participating in the 2026 Business Expo, presented by the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce. The event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with local businesses, strengthen existing partnerships, and introduce others to ReliaRide's mission of going Beyond the Ride. We are grateful for every conversation, new connection, and opportunity to collaborate with organizations that share our commitment to serving our community, and we look forward to the partnerships and possibilities that lie ahead.

For our March Serve Day, the ReliaRide team came together at the Diaper Bank with one shared purpose: to serve others and help make a difference for families in our community. There’s something incredibly special about showing up side by side, knowing that even the simplest acts of kindness can create a ripple of hope far beyond a single day. Every helping hand matters, every act of service carries meaning, and every moment spent giving back reminds us of the heart behind our mission. This is what happens when hearts align, when kindness leads, and when we go Beyond the Ride.

We were honored to receive the Generation G Award at GiGi’s Playhouse's annual gala, A Night for GiGi’s. This meaningful recognition reflects our shared commitment to promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion throughout our community. GiGi’s Playhouse continues to inspire others by celebrating the unique abilities and potential of every individual, and we are grateful to stand alongside an organization that shares our passion for creating opportunities, building connections, and making a lasting impact. We are humbled by this honor and remain committed to supporting partners who help make our communities stronger by leading with compassion and purpose.

For the second year, we joined community partners in the Blessing Balloons Project to spread kindness and brighten the day of local seniors. Through this heartfelt initiative, cheerful balloon arrangements and thoughtful messages were delivered to remind recipients that they are loved, valued, and remembered. We’re grateful to continue supporting a project that demonstrates how simple acts of compassion can make a meaningful impact and proud to stand alongside organizations dedicated to fostering joy, connection, and kindness throughout our community.

To kick-off our first Serve Day of the year, the ReliaRide team rolled up our sleeves and spent the day giving back at the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank in Stark County, helping make 5,636 meals possible for neighbors facing food insecurity. But to us, that number represents so much more than meals. It represents hope, dignity, compassion, and care shared throughout our community. Service isn’t simply something we do at ReliaRide; it’s part of who we are. Through our monthly Serve Days, our team intentionally steps beyond the ride to serve alongside the incredible organizations pouring their hearts into our communities and to strengthen the connections that bring us all closer together. We’re grateful to have started 2026 with open hands, willing hearts, and a reminder of just how much good can happen when a community comes together.

A special day, a big adventure, and a wish come true! Through Wishes Can Happen, a nonprofit that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses in Ohio, one young boy received the opportunity to enjoy his dream shopping trip to Cabela’s. Our team was proud to provide transportation for him and his family, helping make the journey part of the excitement and creating memories along the way. We also had the joy of surprising him with a YETI cooler filled with his favorite snacks, giving him everything he needs to enjoy some fishing fun with his brand-new rod. Supporting organizations like Wishes Can Happen allows us to be part of moments that bring hope, create joy, and make a lasting difference for children and their families. We’re grateful to have played a small part in making this unforgettable day possible!

We were honored to serve as the presenting sponsor for the GiGi’s Playhouse float in the Hall of Fame Grand Parade. In collaboration with Lift-Up Balloons & Designs, Innis Maggiore, and D2 Custom Construction, we came together to showcase the power of community and the belief that together we can do so much more. This project was overflowing with love, joy, inclusion, acceptance, and connection. It was a true celebration of what makes our mission so meaningful, and we were humbled to have the float recognized with the Best Overall Float Award. We are grateful for the memories created alongside our team, partners, and community, and proud to have been part of such a beautiful event.

The remarkable women who took the stage are creating change in their communities with extraordinary heart and purpose. Their voices remind us that when barriers are broken, possibilities are limitless, and we’re proud to support them as they wear their crowns with grace and inspire impact that shines far beyond the stage.

The Nathaniel’s Hope MAKE ’m SMILE Ohio event, known as the “biggest party ever,” was nothing short of beautiful. Families, kids, and adults with disabilities came together with those who love and support them to laugh, celebrate, discover resources, and simply be in community with one another. It was a day filled with joy, hope, and genuine connection, and we left with full hearts, grateful to be part of such an incredible community.

We were thrilled to celebrate our very own Connor Orban as he was honored with a Twenty Under 40 award, recognizing his leadership, innovation, and outstanding contributions to our community. Connor’s dedication to service, compassion for others, and commitment to going Beyond the Ride inspires our team every day. His ability to mentor and uplift those around him, sharing his wisdom, empowering future leaders, and nurturing growth, sets him apart as a force of positive impact. It was an unforgettable evening, and we’re so proud to stand beside him as he continues to lead with purpose and passion.

ReliaRide is proud to sponsor the 2025 YMCA Senior Health Fair Tour, making stops at six branches across Stark County. This partnership is part of our ongoing effort to raise awareness about non-emergency medical transportation benefits available to seniors. At each event, our team is connecting with community members, answering questions, and sharing valuable information. We’re honored to help seniors get where they need to go, safely, reliably and with care.

We were honored to partner with Wishes Can Happen, an incredible organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. We had the joy of participating in the surprise wish reveal party, where a few very special princesses made their grand entrance from one of our vans to help announce the Disney trip! We were also proud to provide transportation for the family as they headed to the airport to begin their unforgettable adventure. Moments like these remind us what it truly means to go Beyond the Ride.

We were proud to take part in the North Canton Memorial Day Parade, standing alongside our community to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service. It was a meaningful day filled with reflection, connection, and gratitude. From the smiling faces to the incredible energy, we were reminded of the power of coming together to celebrate those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We will honor you forever!

ReliaRide was honored to be a community partner for the first annual Blessing Balloons Project. This heartwarming initiative delivered 1,200 cheerful balloon stacks and hand-colored Valentine’s cards to seniors, spreading joy and love throughout the community. We were proud to collaborate with Perry Christian, Innis Maggiore, and R+R Coffee to make this special project a reality!

Since 1993, St. Nicholas Returns has been dedicated to bringing joy to families in need, extending kindness through anonymous aid and random acts of generosity across Northeast Ohio. As proud sponsors, we support their mission to ensure that compassion reaches those who need it most—not just during the holidays, but all year long.

As we rounded out 2024, we had the privilege of collaborating with GiGi’s Playhouse to enhance and support accessibility within their community. Through this collaboration, we curated a thoughtful donation that included Apple iPads, an Apple TV, and App Store gift cards to support the purchase of communication apps. These tools empower non-verbal individuals to express themselves more independently and spontaneously. We are honored to support GiGi’s Playhouse in their mission to foster learning, confidence, and inclusion!

For children with physical and developmental disabilities, summer camp is more than just a getaway—it’s a place to grow, connect, and experience independence in a supportive environment. Our donation made it possible for one child to attend Recreation Unlimited, where they engaged in adaptive activities, discovered new passions, and built lifelong friendships. We are grateful to play a small part in bringing the magic of camp to life!

ReliaRide (formerly Scenic View Transportation) sponsored the golf outing held during Labor Day weekend. The Sydney Wickham Memorial scramble had a huge turnout, with 30 teams coming together to provide assistance to many families struggling to obtain assistive devices. We were honored to be able to sponsor this event and participate, which fits in line with our vision and mission. Bringing a smile to someone’s face one gift at a time makes life so fulfilling. We are honored to help bridge the gap for families that need additional support acquiring assistive devices!

For the third year in a row, ReliaRide (formerly Scenic View Transportation), received a People's Choice award in multiple categories. At the 2024 Stark County Community’s Choice Awards, ReliaRide was named the Best of the Best in the categories of Non-Profit/Charity Organization and Top Employer for organizations with 1-100 employees. Connor Orban, ReliaRide president, was also named Best Boss. These achievements would not have been possible without the public's support, so we thank YOU, our wonderful clients and the fantastic ReliaRide team!
